A lot of people we speak with, about social media, tell us they don’t have enough time to run a business or do their daily work as well as manage social media accounts. With this in mind, we’ve put together a daily plan so you can manage your various social media platforms with no excuses…
Pick a platform
Don’t commit to something you can’t go ahead with – if your time is tight as it is, only sign up to one social media platform (instead of all the other hundred out there) and focus on that.
Plan your content
Put 15 minutes a side in the morning to write three Facebook posts or tweets for the day – of course, the more time you spend on content the better, remember this is just a guide.
Set Google alerts
Google alerts are a fantastic way of getting your hands on newsworthy information related to your business, quickly and easily – once you’ve been alerted of something, all you need to do is copy and paste the link and upload it your social media account – easy peasy!
Outlook understands you’re living in a busy world – that’s why it allows you to set reminders. Set a reminder in the morning, afternoon and evening to distribute your three posts/tweets – this way your account is continuously active.
Sync your account with your emails
If you sync your Facebook account, for example, with your emails, you’ll receive an email every time someone comments on your post, or likes your page – this way you don’t have to regularly check your page for updates, you’ll automatically be notified!
Take part in online social media networking sessions
Online networking sessions are a great way of building relationships and promoting your services, but one of their many advantages are that they’ll promote your business for you – just distribute one tweet, including the session’s hashtag and watch the RTs multiply!

The point of social media is to be social – so interact! Look at your feed for at least five minutes a day and RT, Like, favourite, comment and share!
Do it on the move
Have you ever stood in a queue waiting to pay for your lunch, watching the time pass, wishing you weren’t wasting 4 minutes of your pressure work time? We’ve all been there, but don’t feel like that anymore – tweet and post on the move!
