A window to success

A North East eco-friendly home improvement firm is celebrating after becoming a TOP100 Registered Company, with plans to expand its team to keep up with increasing demand.

Darlington-based Synergy, which provides windows, doors and conservatories, as well as renewable energy sources, has become the only firm in the town to be listed in the TOP100 Window & Conservatory Company Trade Register.

Synergy, which manufactures all of its A, B and C-rated energy-efficient windows on-site, was eligible to be a member of the Register due to its commitment to high levels of workmanship, customer service and care, and consideration for customers’ properties when carrying out its work.

Off the back of this achievement, Synergy has grown its team from six members to 10 in order to keep up with ever-increasing demands for energy-efficient products.

These appointments include Niamh Kennedy, from Darlington, who recently joined the Synergy team as a renewable energy engineer after completing a Masters degree in renewable energy.

She said: “It was great to be appointed here at Synergy. As well as being able to put my knowledge and experience to use, I’m also learning a lot from my job and am really enjoying some of the roles that come with my position in the Company.

“The Synergy team is also great to work with, and we’re now just looking forward to seeing where we can take the Company over the next couple of years.”

Synergy is now planning to take on two additional staff members this year, including an apprentice in the window sector who will help with more significant projects as the business continues to grow.

Managing director Steve Gaylor said: “We’re really proud to be acknowledged as a TOP100 Registered Company and are happy with the ongoing success that we have enjoyed here over recent years.

“At Synergy, we pride ourselves on offering the best service possible, and it’s a combination of our team and high-quality products that have allowed us to do so well. It’s also great to be able to offer more job opportunities to people like Niamh as well as deserving apprentices who will hopefully be able to drive us even further forward over the coming months.”

All of Synergy’s windows are manufactured on-site in Darlington, and are provided with a lifetime guarantee.
