Established in 1903, Francis Brown is a family-run fabrication and engineering business based in Stockton-on-Tees.

Following the appointment of its first managing director from outside of the family and the 25th anniversary of CEO Jamie Brown, Plater Ivan Elgie and Support Worker George Foster of joining the firm, Francis Brown decided to invest in our specialist PR services to share its news with local and trade press.
Aim of campaign
The aim of the campaign was to share the Company’s announcement regarding the new Managing Director Mark Roddy and the fact that he is the first non-Brown to be at the helm of the firm in its 113 years of trading.

Francis Brown decided to issue the release through our agency as we have previous experience in successfully providing PR services for engineering and manufacturing companies. Our strong connections with the North East press meant that we would be able to help the firm spread its news among the leading publications in the area.
The trade bolt-on enabled the release to be shared with potential customers and clients in specialist press. In addition, the Company chose the photography bolt-on, as it was cost-effective to use one agency which could provide the full PR package.
The main angle of the release focused on the firm breaking tradition by appointing its first leader outside of the family as it continued to expand into several markets. Francis Brown also wanted to highlight the triple milestone of three of its employees celebrating 25 years in the business.
