Eight reasons why you need to be using Facebook Groups for your business

Facebook has been putting bigger emphasis on Groups of late and you may be wondering what the reason behind this is. Well, Facebook Groups now has more than a billion active, monthly users, which is more than Instagram and Snapchat combined, so this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.

So here are eight reasons why your firm should consider using them.

1. Pages can post in Groups

In the past, only individual members were able to post in Groups, but now, you can be logged in as a Page and comment and interact within a Group as a direct representative of your business. Brilliant!

You can also create your own branded Groups, then interact as your page within them. Bonus!

2. Love analytics? Facebook Groups can provide them for you

Great news! Facebook recently launched Group analytics, which can provide you with a range of key data points to help you get a better understanding of your audience, and how to maximise response.

3. It’s the perfect opportunity to see your products

Have products to sell? Create a ‘For Sale’ Group, it’s really simple.

4. Promote your event

Hosting an upcoming event but no one has responded to your e-invite? Mention it in your Facebook Group of loyal customers or host an event just for them. It’s a great opportunity to make them feel special!

5. Establish yourself as a thought leader

You are an expert in your field of knowledge, so why don’t you share your thoughts with a Group that already exists?

6. Collect valuable feedback

Need some new ideas for your business but not sure where to start? Ask your customers! They could provide some insightful and thought-provoking ideas which could help to develop your business.

7. Test new ideas with loyal customers

Want to avoid wasting time on a project or product you think may not work? Ask your current customers what they think and create a Facebook mastermind group.

8. Communicate with your team

Create a Facebook Group and bring your employees closer together. It’s a great way to introduce new staff members or organise a team night out.

All the above are just some of the reasons why you should invest your time in Facebook Groups, however, tread carefully – you can’t just rush in spamming everyone and everything, everywhere you can, hoping for a good result; having a strategy in place is key to success.
