Hall’s hopes to be more than just a hotel

A County Durham hotel has appointed a new general manager ahead of major developments currently taking place at the venue.

Hospitality professional Pam Mooney has been selected as general manager at Hall Garth Hotel, near Darlington, to help improve its services and raise the profile of the venue.

Eager to step into her role, Pam has already made a key appointment to assist with bringing the beauty rooms in-house in order to provide an all-round spa experience for hotel guests and members.

With 35 years of experience in the hospitality sector, many of which were gained at Redworth Hall, Pam is hoping to use her expertise to develop a lifestyle package at Hall Garth to increase its membership numbers.

Pam said: “I’m delighted to have been appointed as general manager here at Hall Garth, especially at a time when so many exciting changes are taking place.

“Arriving here feels like coming home again. I can see that Hall Garth has so much potential and it’s a real privilege to be playing a part in helping the venue to reach it. Bringing the beauty rooms in-house has been the first of many projects I am focused on to attract potential members and guests as well as retaining our loyal customer base.”

Pam’s first step in bringing Hall Garth’s beauty spa in-house was to appoint Angela Normington as beauty manager.

Angela brings her own experience and a high standard of service to the hotel, having acquired seven years of experience at Redworth Hall Hotel and latterly at the Radisson Blu Hotel Durham where she made her name working for its family business Emmanais.

Angela also adds her very own unique beauty treatment to the spa’s menu. This effective and fully natural treatment, aptly named The Little Miracle, incorporates a facial, non-surgical lift and oxyjet, which leads to a visible result that Angela’s customers can see instantly.

Angela said: “I’m passionate about delivering the very best spa treatments and care to my customers, and working here means that I am also able to provide a really personal and friendly service to everyone who walks through the door. I’m now just looking forward to seeing where we can take Hall Garth’s spa over the next year or two.”

The addition of the beauty rooms is just the start of new developments set to take place this year, with exciting changes also planned for Hall Garth’s restaurant in May.
