The Pack has become the official media partner of ‘Bring it On!’, the first event of its kind in the North East generating a buzz about careers within engineering.
The exhibition, to be held on the 3rd and 4th October at the Stadium of Light in Sunderland, will see a collaboration of regional exhibitors, including Unipres (UK) Limited and Caterpillar. Along with others, they aim to inspire, educate and excite school children between the ages of nine and 14 about the opportunities in the sector within the region to ultimately reduce the skills gap in the industry.
The non-profit making event founded by Sunderland Rotary Club, The Institution of Mechanical Engineers, STEM Ambassador Hub and Engineering UK, will feature seven zones each with businesses showcasing the work they do in the North East to help educate young people about opportunities within the industry.
We have several clients in the engineering sector, so are excited to put our social media, PR and content marketing skills into practice as part of an initiative aiming to close the skills gap the industry is currently suffering from. Managing director, Charlotte Nichols said: “We are passionate about the North East and nurturing local talent. As a company, we have chosen to support this great event to encourage young people to pursue a career in a strong, constantly evolving industry that plays a large part in the North East economy.”
