We are proud to announce we have been appointed to take Darlington Building Society’s PR and social media activity to new levels.
The society, which has ten branches covering County Durham, North Yorkshire and Teesside, made the decision to bring us on board to develop its digital presence and strengthen social media activity with the aim of building audiences across the generations.
Caroline Darnbrook, general manager – customer strategy & delivery for Darlington Building Society, said: “We are looking forward to working with a new partner in Harvey & Hugo.
“We were impressed with the teams’ fresh ideas and can’t wait to see our brand and business develop further, building upon our strong, existing member base, into new, previously untapped markets.”
We were part of a tendering process and learned of our success in June of this year.

To bolster the PR team, Darlington Building Society and Harvey & Hugo have joined forces with former Northern Echo Editor, Peter Barron. With 30 years’ experience at the front line of North East media, Peter will be adopting an ambassadorial role where he will use his community engagement and public speaking repertoire to further enhance the Society’s brand.
Peter will also be working on a very exciting project for the Darlington Building Society mascot, Darly the train, of which more details will be unveiled later this year.
