Leader of The Pack, and PR and Marketing Director of Wag & Company North East Friendship Dogs, Charlotte will strap on her boots and ‘Walk for Wag’, raising money to help combat loneliness in older people in our region.
Joined by our charming four-legged Chairman Hugo, Charlotte will join local supporters and businesses to walk along the beautiful Lakeside Way at Kielder Water and Forest Park on 23rd September.
Wag & Company is a charity close to The Pack’s heart. The charity works to reduce loneliness in older dog lovers in the North East by visiting them with professionally assessed dogs in care and medical facilities and is the only visiting dog charity to befriend elderly neighbours in their own homes.
The charity is urging people to take part in the event and raise money for this vital service.
The family (and of course, dog) friendly event is hosted by Northumbrian Water, and supported by Arco.
If you would like to take part and ‘Walk for Wag’ you must register online by 16th September.

A little more about the brilliant Wag & Company
Since launched in 2016 the charity has made nearly 28,000 friend visits to over 1600 vulnerable people in our region.
Wag & Company is doing some truly incredible work to help improve the lives of older people in the North East.
Many older people in our region have always had dogs as pets, but due to their age or physical health, no longer feel capable of looking after them. Thanks to the wonderful (two and four legged) volunteers, these people can now enjoy the company of man’s best friend.
Shockingly, over 51,000 pensioners in the North East describe themselves as lonely some or all of the time. This heart-breaking statistic just emphasises the importance of the incredible work Wag & Company does.
