At Harvey & Hugo, we pride ourselves on our love of social media.
Whether it’s helping businesses around the North East or just chilling at home talking to our friends, social media is a huge part of our lives.
We relish any opportunities to connect with people and businesses nationwide, especially during #hours.
These are exciting opportunities for businesses to take their social media presence to the next level, so we wanted to share the times these #hours take place and some tips to ensure you take #hours by storm.
As you will see, there’s a number of #hours in the North East:
These hours take place every week and present a unique opportunity for businesses to interact with like-minded people close to them.
With so many tweets going out during the #hour, you need to make sure you stand out from the crowd, so here are some tips to help you.
The hashtag is there for a reason. Be sure to feature it in your tweets, as anyone using it will see what you have to say if it is used somewhere in a tweet.
Help out others
Any advice you can dish out during the event is a good way to build trust with other businesses, as it is not just about selling yourself to others. Lend a helping hand whenever you can.
Having a strong presence is crucial and we recommend you tweet at least every 10-15 minutes when you’re pushing your content. It’s not a great idea to over-do it though, as it could turn a lot of businesses off but it’s okay to interact with them as much as you like through retweets and hearts.
Stay on topic
Consistency is the key as it’s best not to go off topic. It’s okay to show off personality whenever possible, but remember this is mostly used for professional purposes. Don’t lose sight of that!
#hours are a fantastic way for your business to make a big impact and there are a number of ways to make yourself stand out. Be sure to keep this in mind as you use the #hours hashtag and hopefully play an active part in a strong social media community.
