We were recently asked to contribute to the Business Central blog and given the theme of learning and professional development.
We believe that learning never stops and it’s always important, no matter how much experience you may have, to continually develop your skills.
This is the case more than ever in this accelerating, digital world. Not only do we have to keep up the training of our team, aka ‘The Pack’, but we have to make sure our clients and the wider community are also up to speed.
This is why we launched Hugoversity last September; to provide people with the knowledge and skills to become their own brand curators.
Here’s an extract from the blog to tell you more:
Social media platforms are bringing out new features all of the time and it’s important that in order to be a leader, the learning never stops.
We believe the wise old Chinese proverb: “Tell me and I’ll forget; show me and I may remember; involve me and I’ll understand” is the best philosophy for developing new skills. It’s important to immerse yourself in live demonstrations and workshops to learn the most. This often puts people off when learning new social media skills, as people are wary of making visible mistakes, however learning the basics and then throwing yourself into it is best.
