Alastair Waite, IOD’s North East Director of the Year, Peter Wilcock, businessman, speaker and author, and Charlotte Nichols, managing director at Harvey & Hugo have joined forces to launch a personal branding programme, aptly named, “PRsonal”.
The scheme aims to encourage business leaders’ to discover the power of the online world by building their personal online brand, which will undoubtedly benefit the business too.
Charlotte, whose PR and marketing agency is based in Darlington, said: “Many high flying business leaders who are experts within the industry, are not using the online world, particularly social media to their advantage. They want to replicate their offline profile online to expand their network, but they’re unsure how to do it.
“PRsonal will introduce them to ‘personal’ branding strategies, which will help attract attention from both investors and customers to drive both them and their business into the 21st century.”
PRsonal is being launched by a masterclass which will be introduced by Alastair Waite, who holds a portfolio of over 20 businesses.
Mr Waite said: “I recognise the impact a strong personal brand can have on a business, and I’m dedicated to helping other business leaders tackle their social media woes.
“PRsonal is going to help people boost their profile by using platforms such as LinkedIn, which will help them transfer their credible reputations to the online world.”
Alongside Alastair, Peter Wilcock, will be sharing his experience as social media fledgling, which many of those looking to attend will understand.
Mr Wilcock said: “In today’s digital world, having the right online profile is priceless. However, knowing how to exploit the potential is a minefield which is why we came up with PRsonal.”
Charlotte will follow by conducting an introductory LinkedIn masterclass.
She said: “With a leading PR and marketing agency, I understand the importance of building a personal profile online.”
This is just the first in a series of PRsonal masterclasses, which is an invite-only event.
