Art enthusiasts are urged to act now if they wish to attend what will be one of the biggest charity arts events the region has seen in recent years.
The event will see artwork from across the North East on display and available to buy at the exhibition and auction. Pieces worth between £100 and £10,000 will be sold, including paintings, photography, sculpture and contemporary crafts, with entertainment and refreshments provided throughout the evening.
All proceeds from ticket sales will go to the South Cleveland Heart Fund, which supports the James Cook Cardiothoracic Unit.
Martin Barber, managing partner at regional accountancy firm Evolution LLP, said: “This is an event that will not only benefit a local charity but will also help to raise the profile of our local artists and help to showcase just how rich our arts and culture scene is up here in the North East.”
The South Cleveland Heart Fund is a cause very close to the organisers’ hearts.
“Many of the people who have organised and contributed to the event have had dealings with the unit in some form over the years,” said Bryan Goodall, director of North East-based artistic initiative ArtsBank.
“We want to show that art is for everyone and make it accessible to as many people as possible as well as showing the wealth of artistic talent that is present in our area and is sometimes overlooked.”
Paul Barber, managing director at Wynyard Park, added: “There are some wonderful artists in the North East and we are pleased to be working with ArtsBank and Evolution LLP to showcase their talent while supporting the South Cleveland Heart Fund.
“We hope to see many familiar faces from the park at the event, but also look forward to welcoming the wider community through our doors to the exhibition.”
Tickets for the event, on June 28th from 6pm to 10pm at the Wynyard Rooms, Wynyard Park, are £10. For more information, visit: www.evolutionllp.com.
