Philip Mathews, of Gateshead and Gemma Nichols, of Gosforth are the co-creators of the aptly named venture The 28 Day Project, which will premiere in London.
Members of the local community are urged to get in touch if they have a life experience which bears significance to 28th February. If their idea is chosen they will attend the premiere in London on that day.
Filming is due to start 1st February, the team are keen to support local drama students and media graduates and are asking them to come forward if they’re interested in taking part.
Phil said: “I am really excited about starting the project, which coincides with National Story Telling Week! Hopefully it will help promote a positive message to speak about your experiences!”
Gemma said: “We’re hoping to receive some really interesting stories and even though only one will be picked, it will be exciting reading them all.
“This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates and students who would like to get their foot in the door and demonstrate their abilities.”
The 28 Day Project is part of the Kickstarter Programme, which helps community projects take off through fundraising and promotion. The team are aiming to raise £5,500 and their fundraising currently stands around £2,000.
Phil said: “We’d like to thank everyone for their kind donations, we really appreciate it and without their help it would have been much harder to carry out the project.”
