North East recruitment agency expands into Aberdeen

North East based recruitment agency, Temp-Team has expanded into Aberdeen as it launches into the oil, gas and marine market.

The flourishing firm, which has headquarters in Gateshead, has set up an Aberdeen branch and appointed two key staff members.

With the appointment of Darren Comben, as Aberdeen branch manager, and the promotion of Stella Wilson as Aberdeen’s oil, gas and marine consultant, Temp-Team will be looking to strengthen the team further in order to deal with the considerable growth that is expected to follow.

Mr Comben, who has over 10 years of experience in recruitment, five of which within the oil & gas industry, said: “Aberdeen is widely considered the oil & gas capital of Europe so as soon as we decided to launch into the market, we wanted to be in the heart of the action.

“It’s always exciting when entering into a new market. Over the last five years, engineering and technical recruitment has been our quickest growth area and this knowledge should prove invaluable when entering into Aberdeen.”

Stella, who originally joined Temp-Team as technical consultant, will now act as Aberdeen’s oil, gas and marine consultant.

Paul Clark, area manager at Temp-Team, said: “The oil, gas and marine sector has been on our radar for some time now, but it was important that we had the right infrastructure in place in order to maximise our chances of success. We are delighted that Darren and Stella are now on board and we’re confident that their skills and experience will help us compete, in what will be a very challenging market.” Darren

Temp-Team are currently looking to fill positions for senior drilling engineers, well team leaders, freight forwarders, crane instructors and junior draught persons for its Aberdeen based clients.
