Time is running out to be involved in one of the year’s most hotly anticipated events on the North East calendar.
The 13th annual North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards will be taking place at a glittering ceremony on Friday, November 2.
This year, the awards will celebrate the spirit of competition, to reflect on what has been a successful summer of sport.
The finalists and their businesses will all come together from a wide range of sectors, with the winners of the 11 award categories to be announced during the ceremony.
Tickets, although limited, are still available for the awards evening, which will be taking place at The Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel on Friday, November 2.
The hotel is among a number of key sponsors for the awards, including UKTI, Barbour, NETPark Net, Darlington Building Society, Spacecraft Events Ltd, the Susan Dobson Memorial Fund and NESEP.
Karen Wood, chief executive of NESEP, said: “NESEP has sponsored the North East Social Enterprise of the Year Award to highlight some of the excellent and inspirational work being done by female social entrepreneurs in the region. We have been particularly impressed by the very high standard of nominees, all of whom have demonstrated excellent business acumen married to strong social values – the essence of social enterprise.
“The WIN Awards are particularly important as they help to highlight what female entrepreneurs can achieve, and to inspire a new generation of entrepreneurs.”
Nickie Gott, Women into the Network (WIN) Chair and founder of events management company She’s Gott It! which organises the annual awards, said: “The prestigious WIN Awards ceremony is a major event for members of the North East business world – especially for those who uphold the importance of celebrating the region’s most inspirational women in business.
“Each year, we think the standard of entries can’t possibly get any higher, but each year it does – and the excitement is growing as we think of all the finalists who have the chance to be recognised for their hard work and success on the night.”
Tickets to attend the North East Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Awards evening are £75 + VAT, including a drinks reception, a three-course meal and live entertainment.
