After the mammoth success of Oxjam Darlo 2014, the festival is back for 2015 and intends to build on the huge achievements from last year. After raising a staggering £8,000 and smashing the original target by more than double, the money raised by Oxjam Darlo contributed hugely to helping those who are in need in the UK and abroad.
The date is already set for this year’s event, where venues across Darlington will once again open their doors to music lovers from a wide range of genres. The one day festival on October 25th will also focus on promoting home-grown talent as it showcases some of Darlington’s finest musicians.
To kick things off, Oxjam Darlo will be holding a launch night at the Duke Street venue, The Green Room on Friday September 25th. For just £3 (that’s less than a pint!) you can catch 3 awesome local bands including Culpa, Ordinary Affair and James Gray Robson! Guests will also receive a raffle ticket which is included in their entry fee and be in with a chance of winning some superb locally donated prizes.
Takeover manager Chris Jenkins looks forward to the event, “The Green Room is a fantastic local venue and we’re very grateful they’re hosting this event. We’ve got some great local talent on show and prizes on offer; it’s sure to be a fantastic night and it’s all for a great cause.”
Tickets can be purchased on the door from The Green Room on the evening of the event.
