Senior appointments mark continued growth of North West accountancy firm, CLB Coopers

North West-based accountancy and advisory firm, CLB Coopers, has expanded its senior team to help satisfy demand from the region’s business community.

CLB Coopers, which has offices across the North West, has appointed Jenny Pape and Susanna Cassey as part on its ongoing plans for growth. It has also announced the promotion of Ryan Wear to the position of Director in its Audit team.

Jenny, who joins the firm’s specialist Tax team as Senior Manager, has experience advising SME and owner-managed businesses as well as charitable organisations and international groups on all aspects of corporation tax. She joins CLB Coopers after ten years at KPMG’s Preston office.

Susanna joins the team after six years with Moore and Smalley LLP where she was Corporate Services Director.  Her appointment further enhances the management team at CLB Coopers, which is part of the Baldwins Group. She will be focused on further expanding the business, as well as strengthening its offering to SMEs and owner-managed businesses across the North West.

David Travis, Managing Partner at CLB Coopers, said: “It is fantastic to welcome two candidates of such high calibre to the CLB Coopers team, as well as see Ryan achieve his ambition of progressing to Director level. Our team goes from strength to strength. The expertise that Susanna brings invaluably broadens the wide range of skills we have in the senior team, and with Ryan’s in-depth technical expertise and broad commercial knowledge, we can continue to provide the support our clients and their businesses need from us.”

“We now have the strongest tax team in our history, and having Jenny on board will only add to that. She has an impressive track record in advisory work and tax planning and is a valuable addition to the team”.

David confirmed that there were other senior appointments in the pipeline across the firm, which will also be welcoming Accountancy and Tax graduates through its doors in September.

He added: “These are exciting developments and demand from our clients for additional services has never been higher. We are also welcoming increasing numbers of businesses who are working with us for the first time, and we can’t wait to see our senior team drive the firm even further to ongoing future success.”
