William Smith teams up with 3M to host free vehicle WrapShops

William Smith, part of the William Smith Group 1832, has teamed up with 3M to host free vehicle WrapShops for customers across the UK.

Over 90 participants attended the three workshops, which took place at the William Smith base in Barnard Castle, as well as sessions in Irlam, Greater Manchester, and 3M Atherstone, Warwickshire.

During the training sessions, 3M’s Senior Application Engineer Klaus Willekens demonstrated application techniques while highlighting the features and benefits of a variety of vehicle wrap films.

Klaus said: “It has been a fantastic three days on the road with the William Smith team and the events were a great success.”

A number of innovative materials were used in the WrapShops, including 3M™ Envision™ Print Wrap Film 480mC, 3M™ Wrap Film Series 1080 and 3M™ Print Wrap Film Series IJ180mC, which has now been certified for 3D applications.

Chris Bradley, Head of Marketing at William Smith, said: “The WrapShops gave customers a brilliant opportunity to get hands-on with the materials, the chance to test the techniques for themselves and perfect their application skills.”

Underlining the company’s commitment to inspire the businesses it works with, William Smith Group 1832’s education facility, The Training Academy, offers 10 courses, ranging from wrap training to sales, as well as workshops and taster days across the country.
